What is holistic naturopathy?
Naturopathy is a set of natural methods aimed at learning about oneself and maintaining health, optimizing it or recovering it in the event of an imbalance. It is also the study, knowledge, teaching and application of the laws of life. She is interested in the root cause of the imbalance and works on the “root” of the problem and not on the “symptoms”.
From the Greek “holos” which means “all” or “whole,” specifies that we consider the human body in its entirety (body – soul – spirit) to treat it. The holistic naturopath is a teacher who teaches his client to maintain their life balance and vitality through their body, soul and spirit. In this way, the client becomes an actor in their healing and reclaims their power and responsibility in their healing process.
Basic principles of the holistic naturopath
Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, had 5 principles that are still valid today:
“primum non nocere”: first, do no harm.
“vis medicatrix naturae”: nature is a healer.
“tolle causam”: identify and treat the cause.
“deinde purgare”: detoxify and purify the body.
“docere”: naturopathy teaches.
